Legal Agreement

Terms of Use for Freeriders

Effective Date: September 2026 App: Freeriders (iOS)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Freeriders iOS mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all terms and conditions set forth herein, you must not use or access the App.

⚠️ Crucial Outdoor & Mountain Safety Disclaimer

Extreme Sport Warning: Freeriding, off-piste skiing, snowboarding, and backcountry mountaineering are inherently hazardous activities carrying severe risks of serious bodily harm, disability, avalanches, hypothermia, and death.

The App is designed solely as an informational logging tool. It is NOT an avalanche safety device, emergency beacon, rescue system, or replacement for professional guide training, certified equipment (avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel), or official avalanche bulletin assessment. Always ride within your capabilities and never rely solely on GPS devices in backcountry terrain.

2. End User License Agreement

Subject to your continuous compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the App solely on Apple-branded iOS devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

You may not:

  • Decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or derive the source code of the App.
  • Distribute, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without explicit prior written authorization.
  • Use the App for any unlawful, hazardous, or malicious purposes.

3. Data Accuracy & Battery Consumption

GPS, altimeter, and speed measurements depend on external hardware limitations, satellite reception, atmospheric conditions, and battery level:

  • We do not warrant 100% accuracy of recorded routes, vertical elevation drop, or real-time speed data.
  • Continuous background GPS tracking can significantly reduce device battery life. Cold mountain temperatures exacerbate battery drain; always plan accordingly with adequate backup navigation equipment.

4. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Certain premium features, analytics, or terrain maps in Freeriders may require an optional in-app purchase or recurring subscription ("Freeriders Pro"):

  • Payment Processing: All transactions are handled securely by Apple via your Apple ID account.
  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing cycle via your Apple ID Account Settings.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are managed exclusively by Apple according to App Store refund guidelines.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights, titles, and interests in and to the App — including but not limited to branding, UI designs, code, graphics, animations, algorithms, and documentation — are protected by international intellectual property laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY INJURIES, ACCIDENTS, LOSS OF LIFE, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to revise or replace these Terms at our discretion. Any revisions will become effective immediately upon posting to this URL. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
